Matthew Carruthers brings over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, combining disciplined brokerage execution with a fresh approach to client representation. His background spans institutional brokerage, private portfolio management, and investment advisory, with transactional experience exceeding $100 million across multifamily, retail, and mixed-use assets in California, Washington, Texas, and Illinois. Matthew’s interest in markets began early—watching money movements with his grandfather and interning at Coldwell Banker and Morgan Stanley. Those experiences developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and market discipline that continues to define his approach today. He refined his craft at Marcus & Millichap, mastering investment underwriting, client advisory, and deal execution. His combined experience with Marcus & Millichap, Coldwell Banker NRT, and his family’s portfolio management has given him a well-rounded perspective on both institutional and private ownership.

 

At West Coast Commercial Realty, Matthew focuses on multifamily investment sales, blending a modern, relationship-first approach with sharp financial insight. His goal is to elevate the client experience through clear communication, disciplined strategy, and consistent execution. Matthew believes every owner deserves the same level of guidance and care as institutional investors — and he approaches each engagement with that commitment in mind.

A Bay Area native now based in Seattle, Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College with concentrations in Strategic Management and Marketing and a minor in Economics.  Matthew lives with his partner in Madison Park and enjoys playing sports and going to concerts in his free time.
